Why Join

FED believes that many of the solutions to education’s challenges already exist within the system. By delivering the National Education Assembly we are providing a dedicated platform to ensure that those with lived experience can contribute their insights to shape national policy in a way that is both informed and impactful.

The National Education Assembly is the first of its kind: of an education system, for an education system.  Fully stakeholder led, driven by no vested interests, this Assembly is designed to give all education stakeholders a meaningful input into national education policy, practice and strategy.

The Assembly meets four times a year, with two in-person assemblies and two virtual sessions to consider education issues.  It acts to provide objective and positive developmental feedback to government, its institutions and wider stakeholders.

The National Education Assembly facilitates regular education input and feedback via in-person meetings and the National Education Assembly app.   The NEA app enables members to answer regular questions that help inform policy, practice and strategy.  Professional development sessions, via FEDLearn, that are responsive to education issues are be provided on a Weekly/Monthly basis to help keep members informed, developed and engaged.

Access to FEDLearn is unique to NEA members.  FEDLearn offers timely and specific professional development to practitioners, supporting the management of current stresses and strains within the system.
